Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American Sportscaster. Her employer is ESPN and works as an SportsCenter anchor for news. She joined ESPN in the year of 2016. She is the daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual by her age of nine. The ability that helped her get her first role as an Univision Production Assistant in Miami. She worked with the producers of television shows that were national, like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. After this she was hired by the CBS station located in St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. In 2009, she moved in Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. She covered stories about immigration and drug trafficking in both Texas and Mexico. She was also frequently called upon to be a sports or weather anchor. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's Dallas-affiliate station. In that station, she was given greater duties. She wrote pieces on Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. Additionally, she was host of the local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. Then, she became the sports host for the morning program of Despierta America Deportes. She served in the same capacity as the show's magazine Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins was born and raised in the city of Veracruz, Mexico. They eventually settled in Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November, 1985. She has an elder sister. She has an older sister. She divorced her parents soon after and, in 1995, she married a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. In the summer of the year 2006, Antonietta took a week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working at the time. Antonietta was a senior in high school and knew exactly what career path she wanted to pursue. When she was deciding whether Mount Union was right to her needs, Antonietta decided to go visit the campus. The campus was a dream for her. The university also provided her with the major that she desired. Her studies were completed and she was admitted to the university for a master's degree in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU, of which she's a part. They developed a close friendship. Her professor urged her to be confident and was deeply touched by his passion for journalism.
